Our large and growing client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team on a long-term contract basis in Brentwood, Tennessee. This role involves overseeing critical financial processes within the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting operations. The position requires on-site presence four days a week and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the division. Responsibilities:• Manage and execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.• Prepare and review financial statements tailored to the division’s operations and goals.• Ensure adherence to internal controls, corporate accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.• Partner with cross-functional teams to support reporting needs and business initiatives.• Facilitate audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.• Contribute to the preparation and submission of tax filings.• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.• Handle full-cycle accounting tasks with precision and attention to detail.• Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP, to analyze and manage data.• Support the integration and use of Microsoft Power Platform tools for accounting processes.

• Extensive experience in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank accounts.• Proficiency in journal entries, general ledger management, and monthly reconciliations.• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate for process optimization.• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.• Experience with treasury activities and credit card reconciliations.• Comfortable collaborating with others and maintaining a focused, drama-free work environment.
