Accounting Manager
<p>We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to join our client's team in Birmingham, Alabama. In this Contract to permanent position, you will oversee critical financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various accounting functions. The role is essential to maintaining the integrity of the company's financial operations and supporting ongoing business success.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.</p><p>• Manage sales tax reporting and filing processes.</p><p>• Oversee accounts receivable and payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.</p><p>• Process biweekly payroll using established systems and procedures.</p><p>• Conduct month-end closings and ensure all financial data is properly recorded.</p><p>• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.</p><p>• Perform audits of financial statements to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.</p><p>• Create and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.</p><p>• Utilize Sage 100 software to manage accounting tasks effectively.</p>
• Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation.<br>• Familiarity with financial statement audits and compliance procedures.<br>• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.<br>• Experience with payroll processing and accounts receivable management.<br>• Advanced knowledge of Sage 100 software.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
