We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team at a non-profit organization. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting essential accounting functions. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to meaningful financial operations. Responsibilities:• Manage month-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries.• Oversee general ledger activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.• Prepare annual financial reports in compliance with regulatory standards.• Collaborate with internal teams to support ad hoc financial projects and analyses.• Monitor accounting activities for compliance with organizational policies and procedures.• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.• Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and responses to auditor inquiries.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.• Prior non-profit experience• Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.• Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and account reconciliation.• Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes and resolving discrepancies.• Familiarity with annual financial reporting requirements and standards.• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.• ERP experience with systems like Intacct or NetSuite preferred
