<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a non-profit organization in Belmont, California. This Contract-to-continuing position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to essential accounting functions and play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy. The role requires someone with strong technical expertise and the ability to work onsite five days a week.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Assist the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.</p><p>• Manage general ledger activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries.</p><p>• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies.</p><p>• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements.</p><p>• Utilize Blackbaud systems, including Raiser's Edge NXT, to support accounting operations.</p><p>• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards.</p><p>• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.</p><p>• Provide support for audits and other financial reviews as required.</p><p>• Ensure proper documentation and organization of financial transactions.</p><p>• Analyze financial data to identify trends and inform decision-making.</p>

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the non-profit sector.<br>• Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries.<br>• Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations.<br>• Hands-on experience with Blackbaud systems, including Raiser's Edge NXT.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work onsite five days a week in Belmont, California.<br>• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
