Paralegal
We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a well-regarded insurance defense firm in Atlanta, Georgia. In this Contract to permanent role, you will collaborate with attorneys and support staff to manage a diverse and fast-paced caseload, ensuring all aspects of the litigation process are handled efficiently from start to finish. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to trial preparation and case management.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Draft and prepare litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and trial materials.<br>• Perform electronic filing in both state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court procedures.<br>• Coordinate and manage discovery processes, including the collection, review, and production of documents.<br>• Support attorneys in trial preparation by organizing witness lists, exhibits, and trial notebooks.<br>• Maintain accurate and organized case files while tracking deadlines and key milestones.<br>• Record billable hours daily with a target of seven hours per day.<br>• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure smooth workflow and case management.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a litigation paralegal, ideally in a defense firm.<br>• Comprehensive understanding of Georgia court rules and procedures.<br>• Proficiency in electronic filing systems and case management software.<br>• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.<br>• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.<br>• Detail-oriented with a proactive and self-motivated approach.<br>• Experience in plaintiff-side litigation may be considered if accompanied by strong credentials.
