Legal Assistant
We are looking for a meticulous Legal Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves supporting immigration law processes, managing legal documentation, and utilizing specialized software tools to streamline operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and have experience in providing administrative support within a legal environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Maintain and organize calendars for attorneys and legal staff, ensuring appointments and deadlines are met.<br>• Conduct client intake processes and gather necessary documentation to support immigration cases.<br>• Assist in preparing and managing legal documents, filings, and case-related correspondence.<br>• Utilize software tools such as Docketwise and Docbox to manage case information and workflow efficiently.<br>• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to ensure compliance with immigration law requirements.<br>• Handle administrative tasks related to case management, including data entry and file organization.<br>• Monitor case progress and provide updates to attorneys and clients as needed.<br>• Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries, offering prompt and timely responses.<br>• Support team members in maintaining accurate records and ensuring all legal procedures are followed.
• Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably with a background in immigration law.<br>• Proficiency in legal software such as Docketwise, Clio, MyCase, or Docbox.<br>• Strong organizational and calendar management skills.<br>• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.<br>• Familiarity with legal documentation and procedures related to immigration law.<br>• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.<br>• Adept at multitasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.<br>• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
