Robert Half’s annual Holiday Giving program has been a signature philanthropic effort for our employees in North America since 2006. Projects typically range from toy, food and clothing drives to bike-building events and adopt-a-family programs. To date, we’ve collected more than 150,000 toys and games for children in need.

To kick off fundraising for this year’s holiday season, Robert Half has pledged $50,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). The mission of the BGCA is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. The Clubs provide more than 4 million youths with meals, mentors and meaningful experiences — and these great moments add up to great futures.

Robert Half’s national partnership with BGCA began more than 20 years ago, and our company has since invested in Boys & Girls Clubs workforce readiness initiatives. We are proud to be the official career partner of the Alumni & Friends program, which provides advice and resources for Club graduates just starting their careers.

Our employees are engaged in local Clubs through various volunteer efforts, such as assisting young people with job search techniques, reviewing student podcasts, creating short videos with advice for teens, providing content on career-related topics, and organizing toy drives and holiday parties for BGCA families.

More activities for this year’s season of giving

Robert Half has several activities planned for this year’s season of holiday giving, and the following are just a few examples. Our employees can choose to pursue the following activities individually, or work as part of a team with others in their office location or across the company:

  • Creating “Chemo Care Kits”: Our employees can design and decorate a care package for kids and/or adults undergoing chemo treatments as a way to help brighten their day and show support as they make this challenging journey.
  • Organizing “Cold Care Kits”: More than 580,000 people in the United States have recently experienced homelessness, according to data from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. By assembling a Cold Care Kit, Robert Half employees have an opportunity to provide some comfort and inspiration to individuals facing a homeless situation this holiday season.
  • Fulfilling wishes through the Family Giving Tree: The Family Giving Tree is a nonprofit organization that works to spread kindness to children, adults and seniors throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. In support of Family Giving Tree’s Holiday Wish Drive, Robert Half employees can select to donate a holiday gift to fulfill a recipient’s holiday wish virtually. Or they can choose to make a monetary donation.

Our employees are also encouraged to volunteer in person or virtually with the American Red Cross. They can also choose to organize an in-person or virtual activity to support BGCA or benefit another local charity that is meaningful to them.

Our Matching Gifts program

This holiday season, Robert Half employees can take advantage of our Matching Gifts program to maximize the impact of their donations, fundraising and volunteer time. We provide a 1:1 match for all employee donations and fundraising efforts and grants $15 per volunteer hour to eligible charities.

Robert Half’s Matching Gifts program and our annual Holiday Giving program are just two examples of how we strive to foster a company culture that supports the communities where our employees live, work and learn.
