Create a culture of learning at your company by offering ongoing training and professional development opportunities to help your employees further their careers.

All professionals want engaging work, so give your employees projects they’re enthusiastic about. Let them know what impact they’re making on the company, customers or clients.

3. Bonus or stock options

Offering employees financial rewards or some ownership in the company can help them feel more connected to your business, as well as encourage engagement and loyalty to your organization.

4. Advancement opportunities

Your employees want to know they have a career path within the company. Establish clear paths to leadership, and educate your team members on the opportunities available to them.

5. Vacation time

Everyone needs a break. Encourage your employees to take their vacation time and unplug from their work worries and inbox in order to relax and recharge. Ensure them that you’ll have their responsibilities covered, whether they’re divided amongst colleagues or you bring on temporary help.

6. Using new and innovative technology

Tech professionals are naturally curious and excited by industry advancements. Give workers the opportunity to explore, use and even recommend or experiment with new technologies when it makes sense for your business.

7. A unique office environment or other office perks

Ping-pong tables can be great, but creating a welcoming and inspiring office space that matches your employees’ work style, whether it’s an open floor plan, collaboration areas or private work spaces, is even better.

8. Remote work options

Show employees you care about their work-life balance by offering alternative work arrangements, like working remotely or having customized hours. This can shorten their commute and bring more value to their day.
