What trends do today’s marketing, digital and creative professionals need to know? How can they stay up to date on these issues? How can attendees of the upcoming Adobe Summit maximize their experience? Adobe Senior Marketing Manager Mike Stiles recently shared his insights on these questions and more with us.

What is your role with Adobe?

I lead event strategy, breakout content and marketing for Adobe Summit.

What trends are you seeing in the marketing, digital and creative fields right now?

Some of the biggest trends we continue to see are around scalability and growth. This includes managing the velocity of content creation and delivery, the personalization of that content, building customer loyalty, and the ongoing digital transformation of all enterprise processes. We are also seeing a trend of using customer experience to drive growth.

Why is it important for marketing, digital and creative professionals to continually stay up to date on these and other emerging trends?

The industry changes rapidly, with novel innovations and engagement channels emerging on a regular basis. Knowing how to use these innovations to reach customers is critical to earning and keeping a customer’s trust and loyalty.

What are the best ways for professionals in these fields to learn about these trends in 2023?

There is no better way to learn about these technologies and practices than to be surrounded by innovators and experts in the field.

At Summit, attendees will be able to hear the vision of what lies ahead from Adobe and other industry executives in the keynote sessions. The Innovation Super Sessions will provide a deeper dive into the categories of commerce, content, data and insights, personalization, customer engagement, and more. And the breakout sessions will be packed with real-world success stories and best practices.

While the entire Adobe Summit experience is valuable, what sessions or experiences do you most recommend?

Make sure your time at Summit is maximized by seeing the speakers that will share the insights most relevant to your business. I recommend building a personalized schedule of sessions as early as possible using the filters in the session catalog.

Engage with others in the sessions you attend to discuss points of interest. Then ask questions of the speakers. Most sessions will have a question-and-answer time or a chance to meet the speaker after their presentation. Getting answers to your questions is an opportunity not available virtually.

I also recommend spending time in the Community Pavilion — the hub of Summit. Here, you will find the Adobe booth where you can connect with Adobe experts and get answers to your product questions. You will also be able to visit with many organizations and learn about their complimentary offerings. The Community Pavilion will also host receptions and networking opportunities when you have time between sessions.

What is your favorite thing about working at Adobe?

One of my favorite things about Adobe is that we never stop innovating. Even with as much as we have done in the past 40 years, the future always seems brighter. Adobe’s leadership has a clear vision and path to lead the industry for a long time to come.

How is Adobe addressing the needs of today’s marketers?

Adobe Experience Cloud solutions solve needs from data insights, content management, marketing workflows, commerce and more, addressing the needs of B2C and B2B customer experiences.
