The Litigation Paralegal should have 7 plus years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in commercial litigation, professional liability, employment law and construction. The ideal litigation paralegal will be well versed with the rules of civil procedure and local rules in state and federal court, have experience with docketing deadlines, experienced with E-filing in state and federal courts, the ability to prepare disclosure statements and discovery responses, ability to draft various motions, proposed orders and summons, experience with appropriate process service procedure for Complaints and Subpoenas, experience with assisting attorneys with activities related to depositions, hearings and trials, experience with bates numbering, headers/footers, redaction, etc, ability to communicate effectively with clients, business vendors, attorneys and staff, excellent verbal and written communication skills (grammar & spelling), a “can-do” work ethic, and strong attention to detail. Cite checking, document production management, and formatting experience of briefs (Table of Contents, Table of Authorities) are highly preferred.
