Help Desk Analyst I
We are looking for a Help Desk Analyst I to join our team in Winsted, Connecticut. In this on-site, contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, providing technical support, and resolving hardware and software issues. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise and grow your skills in a dynamic, user-focused IT environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Provide technical assistance for the installation and repair of computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.<br>• Perform hardware refreshes and upgrade software on existing systems to ensure optimal functionality.<br>• Monitor logs, including antivirus and event logs, using specialized software and address any issues proactively.<br>• Ensure compliance with desktop patching requirements by reviewing security scans and collaborating with the Network Administrator.<br>• Create and maintain workstation and server images for physical hardware and virtual infrastructure.<br>• Support end-users with technical guidance on software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and other specialized programs.<br>• Configure, modify, and manage user accounts and groups in Active Directory and Exchange.<br>• Coordinate and monitor remote access solutions to facilitate secure connectivity.<br>• Attend relevant training and seminars to stay updated on the latest IT solutions and practices.<br>• Perform additional duties as required to maintain a high level of service and responsiveness.
• Associate degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience, specialized coursework, and/or training.<br>• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows Server 2016 or higher, and Windows 10 or higher.<br>• Familiarity with imaging software such as Acronis and experience with ticketing and inventory systems.<br>• Strong understanding of troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, and accessory equipment.<br>• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.<br>• Experience working with personal computer equipment in a detail-oriented environment.<br>• Ability to travel within the branch system as needed and work extended or weekend hours.<br>• Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, and basic troubleshooting.
