<p>As a Business Systems Analyst / Scrum Master, you’ll play a pivotal role at the intersection of agile delivery, business processes, and technology implementation. You’ll guide cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring business requirements are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned with Athene’s strategic goals.</p><p>Our technology ecosystem spans multiple platforms, business lines, and integration points — success in this role means balancing structured analysis with agile adaptability. You’ll partner with product owners, technology leaders, application developers, quality assurance testers, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions deliver meaningful, measurable value.</p><p>This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a fast-paced environment where curiosity, communication, and ownership drive results.</p><p><br></p><p>Accountabilities</p><p>• Drive clarity and documentation — capture detailed functional and technical requirements, workflows, and process and technology dependencies across systems and integration points.</p><p>• Translate business strategy into execution — work with business and technology leaders to define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals aligned to enterprise priorities.</p><p>• Facilitate agile delivery — lead sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and coach teams in Agile principles to promote continuous improvement and accountability.</p><p>• Bridge communication across functions — ensure seamless collaboration between products owners, technology leaders, project managers, developers, QA, and other roles and teams as needed.</p><p>• Balance agility and structure — manage iterative delivery in an Agile/Scrum framework while applying structured analysis where appropriate for compliance and traceability.</p><p>• Enable transparency and decision-making — track metrics and report on sprint progress to stakeholders.</p><p>• Champion alignment — communicate complex business or technical concepts in simple, actionable terms for diverse audiences.</p><p>• Promote continuous improvement — identify opportunities to enhance team performance, process efficiency, and product quality.</p><p>• Remove impediments to team progress by proactively identifying, tracking, and resolving blockers that hinder delivery.</p><p>• Drive on-time delivery by ensuring the team meets committed sprint and project dates, facilitating alignment across stakeholders, and escalating risks when necessary.</p>

<p>Qualifications and Experience</p><p>• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Information Systems, or related field.</p><p>• 5+ years of combined experience as a Business Analyst, Scrum Master, or Agile Delivery Lead in a technology or financial services environment.</p><p>• Proven ability to translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements and user stories.</p><p>• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience facilitating all core ceremonies.</p><p>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex organization.</p><p>• Experience documenting workflows and processes, data dependencies, and integrations across multiple systems.</p><p>• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile delivery tools.</p><p>• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to influence, align, and build trust across teams.</p><p>• Preferred: Experience in the financial services or insurance industry, specifically annuities or retirement services</p><p>• Preferred: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification.</p><p>Business Analysis, Business systems, Business Requirement Document, Agile Scrum, Certified Scrum Master, ScrumMaster, Agile, Agile, Financial Services</p>
