We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Livingston, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work on-site Monday through Friday. The role involves handling a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial processes, and supporting month-end close activities. Responsibilities:• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice validation and payment processing.• Perform general accounting duties, such as journal entries and reconciliation.• Support inventory-related financial tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping.• Handle month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure data integrity.• Utilize Sage X3 and Microsoft Excel for accounting and reporting purposes.• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.• Assist with financial audits and prepare necessary documentation.• Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements within the accounting function.

• Proven experience in accounts payable processes and general accounting. • Proficiency in journal entries and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Expertise in using Sage X3 and Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks. • Familiarity with inventory-related accounting processes. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an environment that values attention to detail. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication abilities to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
