Staff Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Waunakee, Wisconsin. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to a variety of accounting functions while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial processes and an ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to ensure the integrity of financial records.<br>• Conduct comprehensive account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate balances.<br>• Manage payroll processes for employee groups ranging from 101 to 500 individuals.<br>• Assist with month-end close activities, including reviewing and finalizing general ledger accounts.<br>• Support the ongoing 401K audit by coordinating with auditors and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.<br>• Collaborate with clients and vendors to address inquiries and maintain positive relationships.<br>• Utilize QuickBooks and SAP systems to perform accounting tasks and streamline workflows.<br>• Review financial data to support audit preparations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.<br>• Analyze and report on general ledger activity to provide insights into financial performance.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related roles.<br>• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts.<br>• Strong knowledge of payroll processes for mid-sized employee groups.<br>• Experience with account reconciliation and identifying errors.<br>• Familiarity with financial audits and compliance standards.<br>• Advanced skills in QuickBooks and SAP systems.<br>• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
