<p>We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in the greater Waterbury area. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving process improvements. If you have strong expertise in accounting systems and financial analysis, this opportunity provides a rewarding environment to showcase your skills.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of journal entries and reconciliations.</p><p>• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports to support organizational decision-making.</p><p>• Develop and document processes to enhance operational efficiency and maintain compliance.</p><p>• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.</p><p>• Create and manage opening balance sheets with precision and attention to detail.</p><p>• Utilize Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software for financial reporting and analysis.</p><p>• Oversee monthly account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.</p><p>• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of financial processes.</p><p>• Maintain and improve systems for scanning and organizing financial documentation.</p><p>• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational workflows.</p>

• Proven experience in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.<br>• Strong proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.<br>• Hands-on experience with Great Plains Accounting software.<br>• Advanced knowledge of Excel for data management and analysis.<br>• Expertise in documenting processes and creating structured workflows.<br>• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial activities.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
