Receptionist
We are looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient support. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Greet visitors warmly and assist them with inquiries or directing them to the appropriate person or department.<br>• Manage a multi-line phone system efficiently, including answering inbound calls and transferring them as needed.<br>• Maintain a clean and organized reception area to provide a positive impression to guests.<br>• Handle basic administrative tasks such as sorting mail and scheduling appointments.<br>• Provide accurate information to callers and visitors regarding company services and policies.<br>• Ensure timely and attentive responses to all communications, whether in-person or via phone.<br>• Assist with coordinating meetings and managing schedules when required.<br>• Monitor and manage incoming correspondence or deliveries with attention to detail.<br>• Uphold confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.<br>• Collaborate with team members to support office operations and administrative needs.
• Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role.<br>• Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and switchboards.<br>• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.<br>• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.<br>• Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain smooth operations.<br>• Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.<br>• Basic proficiency in office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.<br>• Availability for part-time hours as required by the contract position.
