Financial Analyst - Entry Level
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will play a key part in monitoring and investigating financial transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in financial analysis and compliance while contributing to the integrity of financial operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Investigate alerts triggered by transaction monitoring systems to identify potential irregularities or suspicious activities.<br>• Analyze client transaction behaviors against expected norms and address any inconsistencies with thorough research.<br>• Conduct follow-ups on flagged transactions, performing due diligence to ensure their legitimacy.<br>• Prepare detailed and accurate reports of findings for review by senior compliance staff or regulatory bodies.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence processes.<br>• Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and apply them effectively in daily tasks.<br>• Participate in training sessions to remain informed about new compliance standards and industry best practices.<br>• Work with technology teams to enhance the functionality and performance of transaction monitoring systems.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel functions.<br>• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.<br>• Experience with banking software and familiarity with high-volume data entry processes.<br>• Demonstrated expertise in using Excel formulas and tools for financial analysis.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.<br>• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards within the financial services industry.<br>• Ability to document findings clearly and communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
