We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our client's team in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, on a contract basis. This role is vital to ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong attention to detail and expertise in managing month-end close procedures and balance sheet reconciliations. Responsibilities:• Oversee and execute month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.• Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial entries are properly recorded.• Conduct detailed reviews of balance sheets to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, maintaining compliance with company policies.• Compile and organize financial documents for auditing and reporting purposes.• Collaborate with internal teams to support financial goals and initiatives.• Provide insights and recommendations to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

• Proven experience in managing month-end close processes and general ledger accounting.• Strong knowledge of balance sheet reviews and reconciliation procedures.• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
