The ideal candidate will possess strategic thinking capabilities and technical expertise to drive impactful innovation aligned with business goals!</p><p><br></p><p>To learn more about this great new role, please send your resume direct and confidential to: Shawn M Troy - Technology Practice Director with Robert Half (email can be found on LinkedIn), call 319-362-8606, or Apply NOW!</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p><br></p><p>• Lead a team and provide mentorship to a multidisciplinary team focused on R& D of technologies, fostering innovation and collaboration.</p><p>• Identify and evaluate new technology trends to enhance product offerings and solutions.</p><p>• Oversee the development of concepts from initial proof-of-concept through feasibility studies and scalable pilot implementations.</p><p>• Collaborate with other internal teams to assess market feasibility and align innovation efforts with customer needs.</p><p>• Set annual and quarterly goals for the team, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure team members are motivated and engaged.</p><p>• Manage budgets and oversee salary planning for both direct and indirect reports.</p><p>• Work closely with product, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of advanced technologies.</p><p>• Investigate and resolve product issues identified during development, testing, production, or field operations.</p><p>• Maintain awareness of external technological advancements and build partnerships with research institutions, startups, and vendors.</p><p>• Advocate for customer-driven innovation by engaging stakeholders and end users to address real-world challenges with advanced solutions.</p>

<p>• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.</p><p>• At least 7 years of experience in R& D, innovation, or advanced technology roles.</p><p>• Proven expertise in areas such as AI/ML and Product Development</p><p>• Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to align technological innovation with business objectives.</p><p>• Demonstrated leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams.</p><p>• Familiarity with design for manufacturability and transitioning prototypes into production.</p><p>• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy.</p><p>• Basic knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and business operations.</p>
