We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to join our team in Urbana, Illinois. This is a long-term contract opportunity designed for an individual with a strong accounting background and a hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial processes.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.<br>• Perform month-end close procedures, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.<br>• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy of financial data.<br>• Support financial statement audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.<br>• Troubleshoot and resolve accounting and finance-related issues as they arise.<br>• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve workflow.<br>• Assist with account reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and complete.<br>• Utilize accounting software to manage and analyze financial data effectively.<br>• Provide hands-on support in various accounting tasks as needed.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.<br>• Expertise in month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and financial reporting.<br>• Experience with financial statement audits and preparation of supporting documentation.<br>• Advanced proficiency with accounting software and related tools.<br>• Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues effectively.<br>• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• A hands-on, proactive approach to managing accounting functions.
