HR Generalist
<p>We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our client's remote team on a contract basis working an EST schedule. This role requires a highly skilled individual with a strong understanding of HR processes and procedures, as well as the ability to oversee complex tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing multistate payroll and employee relations effectively. Experience supporting large multistate employee bases and teams is a requirement as this is a national organization with over 1,000 employees. 70</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Administer and manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and efficiently.</p><p>• Oversee multistate payroll operations compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</p><p>• Manage leave of absence requests, including FMLA and disability claims, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies.</p><p>• Utilize HRIS systems like Paylocity to maintain and update employee records.</p><p>• Support benefit administration functions, including enrollment and troubleshooting employee issues.</p><p>• Collaborate with management to address union-related concerns and ensure effective communication.</p><p>• Implement and monitor procedural changes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.</p><p>• Coordinate with teams to ensure smooth transitions during HR system updates.</p><p>• Provide training and support to staff on HR-related systems and processes.</p>
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on multistate payroll and employee relations.<br>• Proficiency in HRIS systems, such as Paylocity, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).<br>• Strong knowledge of FMLA, disability benefits, and leave of absence processes.<br>• Familiarity with complex HR procedures, such as onboarding and offboarding workflows.<br>• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a high attention to detail.<br>• Experience working in large organizations or managing complex HR processes preferred.<br>• Understanding of union-related HR practices is a plus.
