<p>We are looking for a skilled Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure accurate reporting within our organization. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong leadership abilities to guide a small team and manage critical accounting processes. Based in Tampa, Florida, this position is essential to maintaining the integrity of our financial statements.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Supervise and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.</p><p>• Lead and mentor a team of two, fostering growth and collaboration.</p><p>• Prepare comprehensive financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.</p><p>• Collaborate closely with other departments to align financial strategies and operational goals.</p><p>• Maintain and improve document control systems to ensure proper organization and accessibility.</p><p>• Oversee document scanning and compilation processes for efficient record-keeping.</p><p>• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all financial activities.</p><p>• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.</p><p>• Provide detailed financial insights and reports to support decision-making.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a permanent position. • Proven experience in accounting or financial management, preferably as a Controller.<br>• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and regulatory compliance.<br>• Leadership experience with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.<br>• Proficiency in document control and scanning processes.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.<br>• Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
