Dispatcher
We're seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to work with a talented group of technicians comprised of both apprentices and experienced techs. You'll work as part of a cooperative team, coordinating closely with two service managers, two other dispatchers (who oversee separate regions. <br> What You’ll Do: As a Dispatcher, you will: Assign and manage daily schedules for residential techs, ensuring work is appropriately distributed. Triage and adjust assignments throughout the day in response to changing priorities, weather challenges, and emergent needs. Handle call-outs, promptly rescheduling and reassigning tasks to keep operations running smoothly. Communicate with technicians efficiently, providing details and updates on calls to ensure they are equipped to succeed. Leverage scheduling and dispatch software (such as ServiceTitan) to ensure all tasks are tracked and organized. Act as a gatekeeper for the techs—balancing empathy and emotional intelligence while ensuring their needs are met and they can focus on their work. <br> What We’re Looking For: Must-Have Skills: Dispatching experience – Helpful but not required. We’re willing to train the right candidate. Proficiency in technology and navigating cloud-based software tools (e.g., ServiceTitan). Strong coordination and scheduling abilities, with an aptitude for managing multiple spinning plates at once. Soft Skills / Personality: Thick-skinned and solution-oriented. You won’t shy away from handling high-pressure situations calmly and professionally. Empathetic yet assertive. You genuinely care about the team and strive to ensure they can perform their best, but you can also maintain detail oriented boundaries. Supportive, kind, and a great listener. You’ll be the first point of contact for our techs’ day-to-day operational needs.
• At least 1 year of experience in dispatching or a related field.<br>• Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with cloud-based software.<br>• Proven ability to coordinate schedules and manage logistics effectively.<br>• Excellent communication skills, particularly in working with technicians.<br>• High level of adaptability to changing conditions, such as weather impacts.<br>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
