Sr. Auditor
We are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to join our team on a contract basis for a short-term audit project. This role is based in Stamford, Connecticut, and offers a great opportunity to contribute your expertise to a nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in QuickBooks and a solid background in auditing processes.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Conduct detailed audits for a nonprofit organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.<br>• Utilize QuickBooks to analyze and reconcile financial records effectively.<br>• Prepare and present audit findings to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.<br>• Develop and implement operational audit plans to improve organizational efficiency.<br>• Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and other relevant auditing standards.<br>• Collaborate with team members to complete the audit within the designated timeline.<br>• Identify and address discrepancies or irregularities in financial data.<br>• Provide expert advice to enhance internal controls and financial reporting processes.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in auditing, preferably within nonprofit organizations.<br>• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial analysis and reporting.<br>• Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and auditing standards.<br>• Proven ability to develop and execute audit plans effectively.<br>• Experience in operational and financial auditing processes.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.<br>• Strong communication skills for presenting findings and recommendations.<br>• Ability to work onsite in Stamford, Connecticut for the duration of the project.
