Inventory Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Stamford, Connecticut. This role involves managing inventory levels, overseeing mailroom operations, and ensuring the efficient handling of office supplies and shipping tasks. The ideal candidate will excel in clerical duties and possess strong organizational skills.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are sufficient to meet operational needs.<br>• Oversee mailroom activities, including sorting, distributing, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.<br>• Coordinate the procurement and distribution of office supplies to support daily business operations.<br>• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including preparing packages and verifying deliveries.<br>• Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company standards.<br>• Answer and manage inbound calls professionally, providing assistance and information as needed.<br>• Assist with general clerical tasks, such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.<br>• Collaborate with team members to streamline inventory and office workflows.<br>• Identify and report discrepancies or issues related to inventory and supplies.<br>• Support other administrative functions as required to enhance operational efficiency.
• Proven experience in inventory management, mailroom operations, or related clerical roles.<br>• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.<br>• Proficiency in handling shipping and receiving tasks effectively.<br>• Ability to conduct audits and identify discrepancies in inventory records.<br>• Excellent communication skills, including answering inbound calls professionally.<br>• Familiarity with basic office equipment and software for data entry and documentation.<br>• Capacity to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
