This is a key hands-on role for a strong accounting leader with deep manufacturing cost accounting experience. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and manage the accounting team (A/R, A/P, Payroll)</li><li>Maintain and oversee the standard cost system, including analysis of:</li><li>Purchase price variance (PPV)</li><li>Production, usage, labor, and overhead variances</li><li>Absorption, scrap, and rework impact</li><li>Own the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of:</li><li>Inventory adjustments</li><li>Standard cost variances</li><li>Freight-in and landed cost allocations</li><li>Rebates, accruals, and reserves</li><li>Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly and ensure subledger integrity (A/R, A/P, Inventory)</li><li>Prepare and deliver a timely monthly financial reporting package to management and banking partners</li><li>Partner with the CFO on:</li><li>Standard cost reviews and cost rolls</li><li>Annual budget preparation and periodic forecasts</li><li>Weekly working capital review</li><li>Support capital expenditure requests and post-investment tracking</li><li>Lead coordination of annual CPA review and support bank field exams/audits</li><li>Maintain strong internal controls and audit documentation</li><li>Coordinate annual insurance renewals with brokers and carriers</li></ul>If you meet these requirements and are interested in this great opportunity, please email your resume in confidence to Ryan Genua at Ryan.Genua@roberthalf com. Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance</li><li>5–7+ years of progressive experience in a corporate or manufacturing-focused accounting/finance leadership role</li><li>Strong background in manufacturing standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting</li><li>Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)</li><li>Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems preferred</li><li>Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, sales, external auditors, and banking partners</li><li>Strong ownership mentality, deadline discipline, and attention to detail</li></ul>
