<p>Robert Half is partnering with a public sector entity in the <strong>Greater Spokane Area </strong>to identify a Litigation Attorney who is ready to IMMEDIATELY jump in to assist and possibly join their team. This position is contract with potential for extension and requires requires travel and a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and remote tasks.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Location</strong>: Greater Spokane Area</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Pay Rate:</strong> $30-35 per hour</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Duration</strong>: 3+ month, potential for extension</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Schedule:</strong> M-F, 8am-5pm</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong> </p><ul><li>Provide courtroom and hearing support, including clerking and administrative assistance for 1–3 hearings per week.</li><li>Operate and monitor recording equipment to ensure accurate transcription and maintain sign-in sheets for testimony.</li><li>Assist with swearing in participants and address any missing items during hearings as requested by the hearing examiner.</li><li>Draft legal documents such as orders, decisions, and dismissals, and travel with the hearing examiner as needed.</li><li>Deliver assertive and organized support for land use and civil litigation hearings.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Paralegal; prior experience as a hearing clerk, court clerk, or judicial assistant is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong courtroom presence and professional demeanor, with proven ability to support hearings effectively.</li><li>Proficient in operating recording equipment (e.g., handheld recorders) and experienced in civil litigation or hearing support.</li><li>Land use experience is a significant advantage.</li></ul>
