We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Spartanburg, South Carolina, for a contract/contract to hire position. The ideal candidate has the ability to jump in right away and make an impact by playing a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting. This is a contract position with growth and long-term potential. This role requires a strong background in accounting and financial analysis, particularly within manufacturing environments. Responsibilities:• Manage month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.• Conduct thorough variance analysis to identify discrepancies and trends.• Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.• Investigate and analyze variances to provide actionable insights.• Utilize Hyperion Financial Management software for reporting and analysis.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing financial operations.• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and practices.• Provide recommendations for process improvements in financial reporting.

• Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation. • Strong ability to conduct variance analysis and provide detailed reports. • Proficiency in balance sheet and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management or similar financial systems. • Background in manufacturing accounting and financial operations. • Analytical skills to identify, investigate, and resolve variances. • Knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards. • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
