We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Shelbyville, Kentucky. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic growth. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively collaborate with senior management while fostering a supportive environment for the accounting team. Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Manage sales tax filings across 20 states, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop strategies for organizational growth and financial stability. • Serve as a backup for all accounting functions, maintaining operational continuity. • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting supervisor while respecting their role as a team leader. • Conduct weekly meetings with the General Manager to review financial performance and operational goals. • Utilize Accumatica software to manage accounting processes efficiently. • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to ensure financial integrity. • Actively participate in day-to-day accounting tasks, demonstrating a hands-on management style. • Foster a collaborative and respectful workplace culture, aligning with company values.

• Proven experience in a Controller role or similar financial leadership position. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting. • Proficiency in using accounting software, preferably Accumatica. • Ability to manage sales tax compliance across multiple states. • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities. • High emotional intelligence and a calm, even-tempered demeanor. • Willingness to adopt a hybrid work schedule with flexibility based on workflow demands. • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams while embracing a hands-on approach.
