We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Selma, North Carolina. This position involves providing hands-on accounting expertise, supporting process improvements, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QuickBooks Online and a solid understanding of accounting functions, including reconciliations and journal entries. Responsibilities: • Perform detailed journal entries to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions. • Reconcile general ledger, bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheets. • Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage and maintain the company's financial records. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency. • Provide training and support to team members on accounting software and workflows. • Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Collaborate with the team to resolve discrepancies and streamline reporting processes. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. • Prepare and maintain financial documentation and reports for internal and external use.

• Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on journal entries and reconciliations. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with other accounting software. • Strong understanding of general ledger functions and financial reporting processes. • Ability to perform accurate reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheets, and credit cards. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Strong organizational and time management abilities. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
