Controller
Our client, a well-established nonprofit, is seeking a Controller to provide leadership and stability during a period of transition. This position is onsite permanent in Seattle. <br> In this role, you will oversee a dedicated accounting team. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, providing mentorship, and addressing any performance-related matters. <br> Key responsibilities include: <br> Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts, conduct pricing and cost analysis, and review departmental budgets. Process Improvement: Support the organization in enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing their ERP. The organization has experienced system and process gaps and is looking for someone to help drive improvements. Audit Support: Assist with multiple audits throughout the year — including one currently underway. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a mission-driven organization while leveraging your leadership and technical expertise.
• Proven experience in a Controllership role within a nonprofit or similar organization. • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage accounting teams effectively. • Proficiency in pricing analysis and cost accounting methodologies. • Solid knowledge of month-end close and annual inventory processes. • Familiarity with managing audits and ensuring compliance with regulations. • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
