We are looking for an experienced Tax Staff Accountant to join our team in Seal Beach, California. This on-site position is ideal for someone who pays close attention to detail and thrives in a collaborative public accounting environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and a passion for mentoring entry-level team members while delivering exceptional client service.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and review diverse tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate filings.<br>• Analyze financial reports and general ledger details to ensure accurate tax projections.<br>• Conduct in-depth tax research and assist in the development of strategic tax planning solutions for clients.<br>• Handle correspondence and resolve issues related to tax notices, audits, and other jurisdictional matters.<br>• Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level staff, supporting their growth.<br>• Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and ensure compliance with regulations.<br>• Contribute to special projects and support additional responsibilities as assigned by management.<br>• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards to ensure compliance and accuracy in all tasks.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing or reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.<br>• Familiarity with GoSystems, Checkpoint, or similar software is highly preferred.<br>• EA or CPA certification, or eligibility to obtain one, is strongly preferred.<br>• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.<br>• Outstanding communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.<br>• Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
