Accounts Payable Lead / Supervisor
<p>Robert Half has partnered with a growing team in the Seabrook area seeking to hire a Degreed Accounts Payable Lead to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity that is hiring quickly, and you do not want to miss out on this position. If you have strong AP experience and have experience leading a team or a department, we'd love to hear from you.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and support the AP team in the end-to-end accounts payable process — from invoice entry to payment execution.</li><li>Review, verify, and approve invoices and expense reports for accuracy, proper coding, and policy compliance.</li><li>Ensure all payments are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and payment terms.</li><li>Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.</li><li>Maintain vendor records and manage the onboarding process, ensuring compliance with W-9, tax, and banking requirements.</li><li>Research and resolve vendor inquiries, discrepancies, and payment issues promptly and professionally.</li><li>Collaborate with procurement, operations, and other internal teams to ensure proper approvals and documentation.</li><li>Monitor AP aging, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions as needed.</li><li>Support the implementation of new systems, automation tools, and process improvements to increase efficiency.</li><li>Train, mentor, and provide day-to-day guidance to AP specialists or coordinators.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> 3-5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).</li><li>Strong Excel skills and familiarity with automated AP workflows and reporting tools.</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><p><br></p>
