We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Schofield, Wisconsin. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in financial processes and reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely accounting operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.<br>• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure all financial data is up-to-date.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries for various accounting transactions.<br>• Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements.<br>• Analyze financial data and assist in preparing reports for management review.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional accounting needs.<br>• Monitor compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.<br>• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement solutions.

• Proven experience in accounting operations, including month-end close and general ledger management.<br>• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations.<br>• Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and financial reporting.<br>• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
