Travel & Entertainment Supervisor
<p>Robert Half is looking for a Travel & Entertainment Supervisor for a client in the northwest suburbs. This hybrid role involves working three days on-site and reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of travel and entertainment expense policies while ensuring compliance and cost-efficiency across the organization.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee and approve travel and entertainment expenses, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.</p><p>• Develop and update policies and procedures for travel and entertainment expenses, aligning them with industry regulations and best practices.</p><p>• Manage travel arrangements such as airfare, accommodations, and ground transportation, prioritizing cost savings and traveler safety.</p><p>• Supervise a team of specialists or coordinators, providing guidance and evaluating performance.</p><p>• Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, including travel agencies, airlines, and hotels, to negotiate contracts and resolve issues.</p><p>• Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure understanding of travel and entertainment policies and compliance guidelines.</p><p>• Analyze expense reports to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost savings; prepare detailed reports for management.</p><p>• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or compliance issues related to expense submissions.</p><p>• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance travel and expense management processes.</p><p><br></p><p>This position offers a salary of $80,000-$85,000 and comes with a full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off and holiday pay.</p><p><br></p><p>If interested, please contact Brian Keating at 331-264-5688.</p>
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.<br>• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate travel management, expense auditing, or supervisory roles.<br>• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail.<br>• Excellent communication skills, coupled with a customer service-oriented approach.<br>• Proficiency in travel and expense management systems, such as Concur or similar platforms.<br>• Familiarity with expense report auditing and financial analysis.<br>• Ability to negotiate contracts and maintain vendor relationships effectively.<br>• Knowledge of current trends in travel management and cost-saving strategies.
