We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our team on a contract basis in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will oversee purchasing activities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the timely procurement of materials and goods. This position requires strong negotiation and organizational skills to maintain smooth supply chain operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manufacturers to secure favorable terms and pricing.<br>• Manage vendor relationships to ensure consistent product quality and service levels.<br>• Monitor inventory levels to guarantee adequate stock and prevent shortages.<br>• Oversee freight methods and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.<br>• Authorize payments for procured materials and ensure compliance with purchasing agreements.<br>• Evaluate and utilize purchasing software to streamline procurement processes.<br>• Resolve supply chain issues promptly to minimize disruptions.<br>• Place orders for required products based on inventory needs and forecasts.<br>• Track and analyze purchasing trends to optimize procurement strategies.

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.<br>• Proficiency in using purchasing software and tools.<br>• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective vendor relationships.<br>• Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and procurement activities.<br>• Familiarity with freight methods and logistics processes.<br>• Ability to analyze data and trends to inform purchasing decisions.<br>• Effective problem-solving skills to address supply chain challenges.<br>• Knowledge of vendor management and inventory control practices.
