Tax Staff - Public
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Tax Staff team member to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will handle a variety of tax-related tasks, including preparing returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. You will also provide accounting support and collaborate with clients to ensure compliance and accuracy in their financial matters.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts with precision and attention to detail.<br>• Ensure all tax filings comply with current regulations and are submitted accurately and on time.<br>• Perform accounting tasks such as adjusting journal entries and maintaining financial records.<br>• Utilize software tools like QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and Sage to manage client accounts.<br>• Analyze client financial documents, identifying and addressing discrepancies when necessary.<br>• Organize and maintain thorough workpapers to support internal reviews and audits.<br>• Respond to client inquiries and provide documentation support as needed.<br>• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality tax solutions to small businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
<p>• Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal income tax preparation.</p><p>• Proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and Sage software.</p><p>• Demonstrated expertise in working with small businesses and high-net-worth clients.</p><p>• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.</p><p>• CPA or EA designation required.</p><p>• Familiarity with CCH Axcess Suite or similar tax software is advantageous.</p><p>• Knowledge of real estate tax and trust tax preparation is a plus.</p><p>• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.</p>
