<p>The Civil Litigation Associate Attorney will support the firm's litigation practice by assisting with case preparation, legal research, drafting pleadings, and representing clients in various civil matters. This role involves working closely with partners and senior attorneys and engaging directly with clients and courts. This role is located in San Jose, CA and has a hybrid model. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Research case law, statutes, and legal precedents to support litigation strategy.</li><li>Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and briefs.</li><li>Support the development and implementation of case strategy, including settlement negotiations and trial preparation.</li><li>Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and, as appropriate, trials.</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.</li><li>Review, organize, and analyze evidence and documents for case management.</li><li>Maintain compliance with firm policies, court rules, and best practices regarding case management and ethics.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the California state bar.</li><li>2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.</li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency in legal research tools and eDiscovery platforms.</li><li>Critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in commercial, employment, real estate, or general civil litigation.</li><li>Familiarity with AI literacy and contract management</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul><p><br></p>
