Sr. Paralegal
<p>We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Senior Paralegal to join an award-winning law firm in San Diego, California. This role will focus on employment law and requires collaboration with attorneys and support staff throughout all phases of litigation, from initial case development to trial. As this is a Contract to permanent position, it offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and long-term prospects within the services industry.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to prepare legal documents and case materials for employment law matters.</p><p>• Conduct interviews with clients and expert witnesses to gather critical information for case development.</p><p>• Coordinate with expert witnesses, maintaining accurate records and logs to ensure smooth case progression.</p><p>• Assist in drafting and filing various legal documents, including discovery responses, motions, subpoenas, pleadings, and expert designations.</p><p>• Perform thorough investigations and analysis of factual information to respond to litigation discovery requests.</p><p>• Compile, analyze, and summarize case-related data to support legal strategies and presentations.</p><p>• Organize case files, review documents, and provide discovery support to ensure effective case preparation.</p><p>• Manage trial logistics, including creating trial binders, organizing exhibits, and supporting attorneys during trial preparation.</p><p>• Maintain the trial team's calendar, ensuring all deadlines and critical events are tracked and met.</p><p>• Apply advanced knowledge of employment law to provide strategic support in case development and outcomes.</p>
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on employment law.<br>• Strong expertise in civil litigation processes and trial preparation.<br>• Proven ability to coordinate with expert witnesses and manage related documentation.<br>• Proficiency in drafting and filing complex legal documents, including motions and discovery responses.<br>• Demonstrated ability to perform detailed factual investigations and analysis.<br>• Excellent organizational skills, with experience in managing case files and trial logistics.<br>• Advanced understanding of employment law principles and their application in litigation.<br>• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
