Tax Preparer
We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves preparing accurate individual and business tax returns while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. If you excel in tax preparation and have a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and file a variety of tax returns, including individual (1040) and business returns (1120, 1065) within established deadlines.<br>• Conduct thorough evaluations of financial documents and records to ensure accuracy in tax calculations.<br>• Analyze financial data to determine tax obligations or refunds owed.<br>• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.<br>• Address tax-related questions and resolve discrepancies for clients.<br>• Stay informed about the latest changes in tax laws and industry standards.<br>• Collaborate with clients and finance professionals to gather necessary information and provide clear guidance.<br>• Recommend strategies to legally reduce tax liabilities.<br>• Utilize tax preparation software to efficiently complete filings.
• Proven experience as a Tax Preparer handling individual and business tax filings.<br>• Proficiency in using tax preparation software such as Lacerte, Drake, or ProSeries.<br>• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state tax regulations.<br>• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.<br>• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic environment.<br>• Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with clients.<br>• Preferred qualifications include EA certification or certification.<br>• Familiarity with e-filing processes and procedures for individual and corporate filings.
