<p>We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in San Antonio Texas. In this role, you will oversee critical database functions and contribute to modernization initiatives, including cloud-based solutions and system upgrades. This is a contract position with the possibility of transitioning into a long-term role based on performance.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.</p><p>• Execute upgrades and migrations of Microsoft SQL Server from older versions to modern platforms such as SQL Server 2022/2025.</p><p>• Optimize and maintain Azure SQL Database environments, including Database as a Service.</p><p>• Support data migration activities related to Oracle Fusion implementation.</p><p>• Develop and refine T-SQL scripts to enhance performance, reporting, and system integration.</p><p>• Provide ongoing support for internally developed applications and ensure seamless data flow for downstream consumers.</p><p>• Collaborate closely with teams focused on application development, business intelligence, and system integrations.</p><p>• Communicate effectively across departments, demonstrating ownership and accountability in managing database systems.</p>

• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server database administration.<br>• Strong proficiency in T-SQL scripting and query optimization.<br>• Hands-on expertise in SQL Server upgrades and migration processes.<br>• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database environments and cloud-based database solutions.<br>• Proven ability to support internally developed applications and maintain system stability.<br>• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.<br>• Knowledge of regulated industries, such as healthcare, is a plus.<br>• Experience with Oracle environments or migrations is preferred.
