Regional Disaster Recovery Manager
<p><strong> </strong>Manages, coordinates and monitors the case load of each case worker assigned to work the Central Texas Flood Recovery/Relief program; supervises case workers and will be responsible for the overall success of recovery goals. Assigns each case accordingly and monitors each case load for accuracy and completion. Responsible for reporting, compliance, monitoring and evaluating all activities under his/her direct control; which includes volunteer administration. All managers will be expected to participate in disaster-related community efforts related to long term recovery. </p>
<p><strong>The essential job duties include but are not limited to:</strong></p><p> </p><p>Assist with strategic planning relating to the Central Texas Flood Recovery Program. </p><p> </p><p>Ensure that required case work information concerning the program is provided to the population being served.</p><p> </p><p>Participate in the hiring process of case workers, when necessary.</p><p> </p><p>Responsible for scheduling case workers; and reviewing case files of those workers assigned to their region.</p><p> </p><p>Coordinate the flow of necessary information to case managers and others, as appropriate.</p><p> </p><p>Analyze and evaluate program/service delivery; prepare recommendations for improvements in services, implement changes as approved.</p><p> </p><p>Provide assistance to clients with outstanding relief issues. </p><p> </p><p>Identify and recommend service, social referrals.</p><p> </p><p>Monitor the day-to-day activities of each case worker, in cooperation with the corps and/or DHQ EDS.</p><p> </p><p>Provide services that will address the needs of all clients (be culturally sensitive.)</p><p> </p><p>Participate in community organizations/coalitions serving similar populations, as needed</p><p> </p><p>Responsible for establishing and maintaining a respectful relationship with all those being served.</p><p><u> </u></p><p>Provide logistical and operational support to all regional offices, as needed.</p><p> </p><p>Ensure consistent and appropriate services are administered by case management providers, when applicable. </p><p> </p><p>Drafts and disseminates policy guidance in cooperation with Divisional Headquarters Emergency Disaster Services. </p><p> </p><p>Develops a list of inter-agency contacts and have a working understanding of the programs available.</p><p> </p><p>Participates in disaster-related community recovery efforts.</p><p> </p><p>Complete other duties as assigned</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to give effective presentations and an active listener</p><p> </p><p>Strong interpersonal skills required</p><p> </p><p>Knowledge of the FEMA Individual Assistance Disaster process</p><p> </p><p>Knowledge of personal Insurance process</p><p> </p><p>Excellent organization skills required; must be able to multi-task</p><p> </p><p>Demonstrated conflict resolution skills</p><p> </p><p>Able to influence and persuade others in difficult situations</p><p> </p><p>Able to function autonomously and be proactive</p><p> </p><p>PC literate and proficient</p><p> </p><p>Knowledge of community support services and funding agencies</p><p> </p><p>Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel</p><p> </p><p>Ability to counsel clients and/or families in life management and coping skills</p><p> </p><p>Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports</p><p> </p><p>Interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills</p><p> </p><p>Must have some knowledge of records management</p><p> </p><p>Ability to drive and possess a clean driving record</p><p> </p><p>Spanish speaker, a plus, but not required</p>
