Software Development Project Manager
Role Overview We are seeking a experienced Software Development Project Manager to lead technology-driven initiatives based in the Salt Lake City area. This role is responsible for steering complex IT and software projects from early concept through successful delivery, ensuring outcomes support broader business goals. The ideal detail oriented combines strong leadership with the ability to translate business priorities into effective technical execution. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of IT and software development initiatives, overseeing planning, execution, and completion phases. Partner with internal stakeholders to establish project goals, success criteria, timelines, and deliverables. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans to monitor progress, dependencies, and key milestones. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, QA, and business partners—to maintain alignment and momentum. Anticipate potential risks, challenges, and scope changes, implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Ensure technical solutions accurately reflect business needs and functional requirements. Track and report on project health using performance metrics, budget oversight, and resource planning. Communicate project status, issues, and outcomes clearly and consistently to stakeholders and executive leadership. Manage third-party vendors and hold partners accountable for agreed-upon timelines and deliverables. Support the implementation, migration, and integration of enterprise software solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable discipline; equivalent detail oriented experience will also be considered. At least five years of hands-on project management experience within IT, software development, or technology-driven environments. Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences. Track record of successfully leading software deployments, system migrations, and platform integrations. Working knowledge of project management platforms such as Azure DevOps, Asana, Trello, or similar tools. Previous experience in technical functions including software engineering, business analysis, quality assurance, or systems analysis. Project management certification (PMP or comparable credential) is a plus. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and coordinating with third-party vendors and partners.
