Paralegal
We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role focuses on supporting attorneys in family law and civil litigation cases, ensuring thorough preparation and organization for legal proceedings. If you excel in legal research, document management, and trial preparation, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Conduct in-depth legal research and gather case-relevant information.<br>• Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.<br>• Organize, review, and manage legal documents and evidence, including eDiscovery.<br>• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other court-related filings.<br>• Coordinate and handle court filings, including service of process.<br>• Summarize deposition transcripts, interrogatories, and witness statements.<br>• Create and maintain trial binders and detailed exhibit lists.<br>• Monitor case deadlines and maintain organized calendars.<br>• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and experts for scheduling and case updates.<br>• Provide logistical and document management support during trial proceedings.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law or civil litigation.<br>• Proficiency in legal research and writing with attention to detail.<br>• Experience with case management software and e-filing systems.<br>• Strong organizational skills to manage complex cases and deadlines.<br>• Familiarity with discovery processes and trial preparation.<br>• Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.<br>• Ability to summarize depositions and other legal documents concisely.<br>• Knowledge of legal procedures and court systems.
