This role is responsible for managing people, processes, and projects to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for developing talent.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>People Management</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise a team of electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, CAD designers, and engineering interns.</li><li>Assign tasks and provide clear instructions on deliverables, quality, and timelines.</li><li>Mentor team members, foster growth, and encourage problem-solving.</li><li>Define personnel development and training plans for talent development.</li><li>Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management.</li></ul><p><strong>Process & Project Management</strong></p><ul><li>Evaluate new opportunities and review technical documentation from prospective customers.</li><li>Oversee the transfer of customer orders from purchase order/technical documentation to manufacturing.</li><li>Ensure accuracy of documentation for suppliers and internal teams.</li><li>Plan and execute strategies to complete projects on time and within budget.</li><li>Define and implement processes and automation for project transitions and change management.</li><li>Support lean manufacturing initiatives and eliminate waste.</li><li>Provide cost and schedule estimates for new projects.</li><li>Assist with implementing new equipment and software.</li><li>Support certification processes (ISO 9000, OSHA) and maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.</li><li>Prepare and present project status reports.</li></ul><p>For immediate and confidential consideration apply here or contact Tess Gilmore with Robert Half's Rochester, NY branch today!</p>

<p><strong>Key Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field </li><li>Proven experience managing engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and complex technical challenges.</li><li>Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies.</li><li>Experience with ISO and OSHA compliance preferred.</li></ul>
