Bookkeeper
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Rochester, New York. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to manage financial records and ensure accuracy in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and categorized.<br>• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and efficient manner.<br>• Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies.<br>• Utilize QuickBooks software to manage and update company financial data.<br>• Prepare financial reports and summaries to assist with decision-making processes.<br>• Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funding for operational needs.<br>• Implement and maintain effective bookkeeping procedures and controls.<br>• Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve billing and payment issues.<br>• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.<br>• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other financial software.<br>• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.<br>• Demonstrated ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.<br>• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.<br>• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.<br>• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<br>• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors, clients, and colleagues.
