Sr. Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Roanoke, Virginia. This contract to permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in manufacturing accounting who is ready to contribute to financial accuracy and operational efficiency. The role requires advanced expertise in financial processes, reporting, and analysis, all performed onsite.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial records.</p><p>• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, verifying the accuracy of journal entries.</p><p>• Prepare detailed account and bank reconciliations to support financial reporting.</p><p>• Analyze and consolidate financial statements, ensuring proper alignment with balance sheets and income statements.</p><p>• Conduct job costing evaluations and provide insights into cost management strategies.</p><p>• Utilize Excel tools, including pivot tables and vlookups, for financial data analysis and reporting.</p><p>• Prepare audit documentation to support external and internal audit processes.</p><p>• Apply accrual accounting principles to manage depreciation and other financial adjustments.</p><p>• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.</p>
• Proven experience in accounting within the manufacturing industry.<br>• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.<br>• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation.<br>• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups.<br>• Experience with financial statement preparation and consolidation.<br>• Familiarity with accrual accounting principles and depreciation methods.<br>• Ability to perform job costing and analyze cost data.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
