Bankruptcy Attorney Lawyer
<p>We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Attorney Lawyer to join a law firm in Jackson / Ridgeland, Mississippi. The ideal candidate will be experienced in consumer bankruptcy law, possess strong advocacy skills, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional legal services in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on representing secured creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy matters across multiple jurisdictions.</p><p><br></p><p>• Represent secured creditors in consumer bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 matters.</p><p>• Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.</p><p>• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other necessary legal documents.</p><p>• Attend hearings throughout Mississippi as required, collaborating with coverage attorneys when necessary.</p><p>• Provide strategic advice and advocacy in contested and uncontested bankruptcy matters.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as bankruptcy rules.</p><p>• Utilize electronic court filing systems and servicing platforms effectively.</p><p>• Collaborate with team members to promote quality and efficiency in legal services.</p><p>• Identify and resolve issues promptly, analyzing information to develop solutions.</p><p>• Adapt to changes and contribute to a positive team environment.</p>
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.<br>• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Mississippi; additional bar admissions are a plus.<br>• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in consumer bankruptcy law, preferably representing creditors.<br>• Strong knowledge of bankruptcy rules and procedures, including familiarity with electronic court filing systems.<br>• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.<br>• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with learning new technology platforms.<br>• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
