Sr. Procurement Consultant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Consultant to join our team on a contract basis in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will provide expert guidance in managing procurement processes, including RFPs, IFBs, and Quick Quotes, while ensuring compliance with state guidelines. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in state procurement and expertise in navigating complex purchasing procedures.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee and manage the development and execution of RFPs, IFBs, and Quick Quotes for procurement needs.<br>• Ensure adherence to state procurement guidelines and procedures throughout all purchasing activities.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare clear and comprehensive procurement documentation.<br>• Conduct contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions for the organization.<br>• Utilize e-Procurement tools to streamline and optimize purchasing processes.<br>• Evaluate vendor proposals and responses, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and requirements.<br>• Provide strategic recommendations to improve procurement operations and enhance efficiency.<br>• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procurement activities.<br>• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders to support organizational objectives.
<p>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on state government processes.</p><p>• In-depth knowledge of procurement guidelines and procedures within a state framework.</p><p>• Proven expertise in managing RFPs, IFBs, Quick Quotes, and other procurement processes.</p><p>• Strong skills in contract negotiations and vendor management.</p><p>• Proficiency in using e-Procurement tools and platforms.</p><p>• Certification in procurement (such as a VCA or VCO) is highly preferred.</p><p>• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment</p>
