As the FP& A consultant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and guiding strategic planning initiatives for an engineering-focused organization. This is a long-term parttime contract position where your expertise will drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure operational success. 100% REMOTE. Parttime Financial Planning & Analysis resource:Responsibilities:Must have a background with an engineering firm• Lead and oversee the development of annual budgets and ensure alignment with organizational goals.• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.• Develop and maintain efficient budgeting procedures, supporting the organization’s strategic objectives.• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyses to guide executive decision-making.• Forecast cash flow projections and provide actionable recommendations to optimize financial performance.• Spearhead strategic planning efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve long-term objectives.• Deliver operational reporting insights that drive efficiency and performance across departments.• Provide leadership and guidance to FP& A teams, ensuring excellence in financial planning and analysis.• Partner with engineering teams to align financial strategies with project goals and organizational priorities.• Monitor and improve financial systems and processes to support scalability and growth.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior finance leadership roles, preferably within the engineering industry.• Proven expertise in managing annual budget creation and month-end close processes.• Strong knowledge of financial reporting practices and cash flow forecasting.• Demonstrated ability to lead FP& A teams and strategic planning initiatives.• Familiarity with operational reporting and its role in driving organizational efficiency.• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.• Adept at collaborating with engineering teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.Must have a background with an engineering firm
